Transport Secretary Art Tugade announced free transport fares to all commuters riding MRT-3, LRT-2, and PNR who have been inoculated with a Covid-19 vaccine.

In a video statement sent to transport reporters, Tugade said it is more important to the DOTr that the health and welfare of the citizens are prioritized over income.

To avail of the free fare offered by the DOTr, commuters/APORS only need to present their vaccination cards proving they have received their vaccine shots. Even only a single dose will be accepted for free fares.

Inoculated passengers at seaports and airport will, in turn, be given snacks, coffee, and water while waiting their turn to get on board their vessels.

The other day, the Paranaque Integrated Terminal or PITX has also announced waiving their terminal fees beginning today, August 2, 2021.
