The Department of Transportation said that the Student Beep Cards will be launched on September 20, 2025.

The Beep Cards will automatically grant a 50% discount to student passengers taking the LRT-1, LRT-2 and MRT-3, based on President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s order to make to make commuting more affordable and convenient.

Earlier, Transport Secretary Giovanni Lopez said they have resolved some system issue that postponed the launching.

Starting Sept. 20, on-the-spot printing will be offered for student beep cards as well as the white beep cards for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., the said cards will only take a few minutes to produce for students, seniors and PWDs para makuha ang kanilang white beep cards.
