PSA announced Inflation eased to 0.9% in July 2025

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said the country’s inflation rate decelerated in July due to the slower increase in utilities costs and the decrease in food commodities’ prices.
National Statistician and PSA chief Claire Dennis Mapa reported that last month’s inflation print —which measures the rate of growth in the prices of consumer goods and services— slowed down to 0.9% from 1.4% in June.
July’s inflation rate brought the year-to-date national average rate to 1.7%, still below the government’s comfortable inflation rate ceiling of 2% to 4% for 2025.
