PRC deploys payloader to N. Vizcaya to assist in pocket landslide
MANILA – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) immediately deployed a payloader to assist in clearing the debris on the provincial road caused by a pocket landslide in Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya on Thursday.
Based on reports gathered by the PRC – Nueva Vizcaya from the Nueva Vizcaya provincial engineering office, the pocket landslide happened along the Wangwang – Tiblac Road and Wangwang – Daclig Road, blocking one lane of each road.
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Ambaguio, no one was injured and no houses were affected.
“The Philippine Red Cross is always ready to respond to our kababayans in emergencies, such as the pocket landslide in Nueva Vizcaya,” PRC Chairman CEO Dick Gordon said in a news release.
“Our goal is to have a culture of safety in the whole country, and part of this culture is readiness – and part of being ready is having sufficient logistics strategically located across the country,” he added. (PR)
