Manila Meat Dealers Association announced that pork prices are set to go down next week by P5 per kilo.

Ricardo Chan, president of the Manila Meat Dealers Association, disclosed that hog dealers do not usually monitor oil prices but farm gate prices, which showed a 10-peso drop in the last 2 weeks.

Chan said rainy season has boosted supply “because the pigs grow faster”,  adding that this happens yearly until October-November.

Kasim, pork chops and pigue will now be sold at P370 per kilo instead of P400/kg while liempo prices are at P400-P420.
