The Philippine National Police said a total of 37,740 police officers will be deployed nationwide at 45,974 public and private schools for the opening of classes on June 16.

The PNP will establish 5,079 Police Assistance Desks near school premises to assist students, parents and school staff.

Some 10,687 officers will conduct mobile patrols, while 16,366 are assigned to do foot patrols in high-density areas and critical zones.

The National Capital Region Police Office has also deployed 5,344 police personnel across Metro Manila for the opening of school year 2025-2026.

Earlier, the PNP  said that it is also coordinating with school administrators on possible security concerns.

It also plans to organize dialogues with students to address issues like bullying.

“We want to ensure that our children return to school without fear or harm. Our police officers will be in every possible area to provide protection, guidance, and support,” said Police Gen. Nicolas Torre III, PNP chief.

Torre called the police deployment an “expression of commitment to nurture an environment where learning can thrive peacefully.”
