PAL flies to Beijing to pick up 500k doses of vaccine
Philippine Airlines has sent another flight to Beijing to pick up another batch of vaccines.
PAL said an A330 (RP-C8789) is now on its way to Beijing to fetch and carry home the third batch of government-purchased vaccines (Sinovac) totaling 500K doses to be used in the country’s ongoing fight vs. covid19.
Capt. Rey Hembrador is pilot-in-commnd, assisted by First Officer Vincent Alcanzare and Second Officer Benjo Candungan. Cabin crew/Chinese interpreter Eric Chan completes the flight crew roster.
PR358 took off from NAIA at 7:10AM and is expected to touch down at Beijing Capital International Airport at 11:55AM (local time/ETA). After an estimated 1-hour ground time, PR359 takes off for Manila with an expected arrival at 5:50PM.
This mission will bring the total number of vaccine doses flown in by PAL to 2.4 million.
