Malacanang rejected call for a medical bulletin be issued on the health condition of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr..

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro reiterated Marcos Jr.’s health condition is improving after recently diagnosed with diverticulitis.

Medical bulletins are usually issued in cases of serious illness. If the President himself said his condition is not life-threatening, then there is no need for a medical bulletin as we are already providing updates on his health, Malacanang said.

Marcos Jr. has skipped some public engagements after he was placed under medical observation last week due to diverticulitis, or the inflammation of irregular bulging pouches in the wall of the large intestine.

This included the Pagpupugay 2025: Parangal Sa Mga Lingkod event at Malacanang held earlier, where he was represented by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.

Marcos Jr., however, attended the oath-taking ceremony of Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. as PNP chief.

Meanwhile, Castro urged the public to rely on information from the Palace and the President, denying reports of Marcos Jr.’s alleged worsening condition.
