The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation announced that northbound traffic started to normalize after all lanes in the Marilao Interchange Bridge have reopened.

NLEX Corp. assistant vice president for traffic operation Robin Ignacio said that all four lanes of the Marilao northbound have been passable to vehicles since 1 a.m. on March 26, 2025.

Ignacio also said that toll fees along NLEX remain waived as of Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), thanked NLEX Corp. for opening all four lanes a week ahead of the original schedule.

“This will now allow close to normal travel times, so that commuters and motorists on NLEX can spend more valuable time with their families and reach their destinations promptly,” the DOTr said in a statement.

The flow of traffic along two northbound lanes of the NLEX was severely disrupted after a trailer truck damaged the Marilao Interchange Bridge last March 19.

The truck reportedly exceeded the 4.27-meter limit restriction under the Marilao Interchange Bridge. NLEX Corp. said it is considering recovering the cost of repair from the drivers and owners of two trucks involved in the recent collision.

It has already filed charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property, and intends to claim restoration costs through legal proceedings.
