The National Capital Region Police Office deployed 15,076 police personnel for the upcoming fourth State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 28.

NCRPO spokesperson PMaj. Hazel Asilo said the police personnel will be deployed to focus on the areas of Batasan Complex, VIP routes, designated protest areas, media zones, and medical evacuation points.

While other unit will be stationed in border control points, checkpoints, landing zones, and advanced command posts.

The office conducted a series of assessments to identify any threat to security and “neutralize” them through pre-emptive operations and focused law enforcement activities, Asilo said.

The NCRPO also assured maximum tolerance among their ranks to ensure the peaceful assembly of protesters on the day of SONA.

Around 5,368 Civil Management Disturbance personnel and additional 681 standby personnel will be deployed for crowd control measures.
