The survey — which polled 1,200 adult Filipinos from Sept. 27 to 30, 2025 — was conducted after huge anti-corruption protests in relation to the flood control scandal as well as following deadly storms that displaced thousands.

Pulse Asia, the President registered a big plurality distrust rating at 45 percent while most Filipinos expressed trust in the Vice President at 56 percent.

“A few movements in presidential trustworthiness ratings are recorded during the period June 2025 to September 2025 while public opinion about vice-presidential trustworthiness is essentially unchanged,” the pollster said.

In a separate survey by the Social Weather Stations, the President’s trust rating in September declined to 43 percent, down by 5 percentage points from the 48 percent trust rating he received in June.

In the same SWS poll, the Vice President’s trust rating dropped to 53 percent in September from 61 percent in June.

The Palace on Wednesday defended Marcos’ decline in trust rating, saying the President was fighting corruption and relentlessly working to uplift the lives of Filipinos.

Duterte, for her part, vowed that her office remained true to its mandate.

Meanwhile, Pulse Asia said approval was the plurality sentiment regarding the Senate’s performance at 42 percent, while the House of Representatives had around the same disapproval and indecision scores, at 34 percent and 36 percent, respectively.

The Senate’s approval rating was down by 11 percentage points from 53 percent in June to 42 percent in September, while the House’s approval rating plummeted by 17 percentage points from 47 percent in June to 30 percent in September.
