Malacañang announced that it has no plans of suspending the implementation of P85 wage hike for minimum wage earners in Metro Manila amid opposition from employers.

Malacanang official said no formal request to stop the implementation of the wage increase was filed.

The Department of Labor and Employment recently announced the P85 wage hike in Metro Manila, and the first tranche will take effect this July 25.

Several labor groups slammed the hike, saying it’s not enough for many workers in the country.
