Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon ordered the license of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) driver who counterflowed along the Skyway to be perpetually revoked.

Video footage from the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shows the SUV counterflowing at around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Dizon said he directed the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to permanently revoke this driver’s license. What he did was truly dangerous.

DOTr have already issued a show cause order to the driver this week. Investigation will begin, but I recommend and ordered the LTO not to let this slide.

Dizon also said DOTr is looking into filing a complaint against the SUV driver, as it is currently waiting for the report from the tollway enforcers.

He added it was not on an ordinary road, but the Skyway. This is unacceptable. We clearly saw he did not even slow down. This will not be tolerated.

The license of the SUV driver has been suspended for 90 days while the investigation is ongoing.

The driver was caught and received a violation ticket after the incident.
