JoyRide’s Super Taxi, a local ride-hailing app launched its Super Taxi Airport Edition service, an airport transfer service to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The Super Taxi Airport Edition service was officially rolled out last December 2024.
Compared to traditional taxis or app-based ride-hailing services, JoyRide said its Super Taxi Airport Edition offers walk-in passengers a guaranteed ride without needing to wait for driver matching.
Customers simply visit the Super Taxi Airport Transfer Lounge at Terminal 3, where they will be welcomed by one of JoyRide’s customer service assistants, receive an instant quote, and immediately be assigned a driver and a Super Taxi unit ready to take them to their destination, JoyRide said in a news release.
“For those who prefer to plan ahead, JoyRide also offers a pre-booking option to and from NAIA Terminals 1, 2, and 3 via the JoyRide Superapp or website under its Hatid-Sundo Airport Rides service,” it added.
The airport transfer service has an initial fleet of 70 JoyRide-branded Toyota Veloz units and 150 professional drivers with customer service training.
The ride-hailing company said it is working closely with the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) to elevate passenger experience at the country’s primary gateway.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the modernization of NAIA and ensuring that travelers, both local and international, have access to a world-class airport transfer service,” said JoyRide’s senior vice president for corporate affairs, Noli Eala.
JoyRide is awaiting NNIC’s approval for Super Taxi Airport Edition operations at Terminals 1 and 2.
The ride-hailing firm said there are also discussions to introduce the service to other major airports across the country.
