Vice President Sara Duterte said that the 12 senatorial candidates whom she supports for the 2025 midterm elections share a “common vision” for the country.

Sara Duterte was referring to presidential sister Senator Imee Marcos, and Alyansa bet Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar and the ten official candidates of Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban)—which is chaired by her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte

The Vice President added, the 12 candidates “are united by a common vision” of a “peaceful and prosperous Philippines.”

Last March, Imee Marcos officially left the senatorial ticket of her brother, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., citing the actions of the administration during the arrest of Rodrigo Duterte that were different from her ideals and principles.

The Duterte patriarch is currently detained at the Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, Netherlands for charges of crimes against humanity for the extrajudicial killings during his administration’s war on drugs.

Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas’ campaign manager and Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco had said that the 11-man senatorial line-up of the Marcos administration is “intact” despite individual endorsements from various national and local officials.

Meanwhile, PDP Laban candidates maintained that only ten of them have been officially endorsed by the political party despite the individual endorsements made by the Vice President and Senator Robin Padilla of other senatorial candidates.

Padilla is the current president of PDP Laban.
