Hyundai Expands In Mindanao
Hyundai Asia Resources Inc., official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country today told Autocar Philippines that they are now targeting Mindanao for their expansion.
Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, HARI President and CEO, said they believe in the growth program of the Duterte administration and have already laid out plans to support it’s program with their own. President Rodrigo Duterte has earlier said he intends to spur growth in the Philippines with his massive infrastructure program titled “Build, Build, Build.”
“Infrastructure helps in leveling the field for growth, allowing cities and provinces to maximize their full potential particularly for Mindanao. It’s encouraging not only for Hyundai, but for the rest of the business community to expand our presence in the country further,” Agudo said.
HARI intends to support this declaration by strengthening their operations in ten key locations in the country with the completion of Hyundai’s commercial division dealership facilities by end of the first quarter of 2018.
Situated in growth centers in CALABARZON, Western Visayas, and Mindanao, these facilities cover a wide-range of trucks, buses, and special-purpose vehicles to service large-scale and commercial accounts and SMEs.
With construction on the rise, Hyundai’s commercial division foresees expanding to 20 locations by 2020.
