Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade recently announced that Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) agreed to waived rental payments of concessionaires at the Ninoy Aquino International Airports (NAIA) until the end of the year.

Tugade said the MIAA Board decided to waive the payments effective July 1 to December.

All rental payments of food, retail, and lounge concessionaires have been waived, Tugade said

Rental fees were also waived from January to June 30 this year to help cushion the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“In effect, waived na po ‘yung rental fee ng mga concessionaires sa NAIA sa buong (In effect, rental fees of NAIA concessionaires have been waived for the entire) 2021,” he said.
