MANILA – First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos greeted her husband, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., on Father’s Day via social media.

The First Lady also shared a portrait of their family collaged through the years.

“Happy Father’s Day,” read her caption on Sunday.

The First Couple has three sons, Senior House Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro, Joseph Simon and William Vincent.

Meanwhile, Senate President Francis Escudero honored “the bedrock of our families and society,” citing their “unwavering strength, boundless dedication, and nurturing love” as the foundation upon which families build their future.

“We pay tribute to the fathers across our country who lead by example, teaching us the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion,” he said in a Facebook post, with photos including his twins, Quino and Chesi.

“May this Father’s Day remind us all of the strength and love that you embody. Your role in our lives is irreplaceable, and today, we celebrate you.”

Other senators also posted their greetings with photos of their fathers and families on the Senate of the Philippines Facebook account.

“Being a father to my three beautiful kids has been the biggest joy and blessing of my life,” wrote immediate past Senate president Miguel Zubiri.

His father is Bukidnon 3rd District Rep. Jose Zubiri.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez, the President’s cousin, also took to social media to honor “fathers, grandfathers, and father figures throughout the nation” on Father’s Day.

“Being a father myself, I understand the joys and challenges that come with this role. It’s not always easy, but the smiles, the laughter, and the moments of pride make it all worthwhile,” he said.

“I am deeply grateful for the invaluable lessons my own father taught me and the strength he showed in times of adversity. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in me, and I strive to pass those same values on to my children,” he added.

The House leader also honored departed fathers for their “love and guidance that continue to shape our lives and inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves.”

“To all fathers out there, thank you for your boundless love and unwavering commitment. You are the pillars of strength in your families and in our communities. May you be celebrated not just today, but every day, for all that you do,” he said. (PNA)
