Filipino tourists can enjoy free 30-day e-visa entry to India

Filipino tourists can now explore India without paying for a visa fee for 30 days beginning August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026.
The Indian government began offering free e-tourist visa for Filipino nationals posted on its official Facebook page details on how to avail of the free e-tourist visa.
Applicants must apply at least 4 days in advance of the date of arrival or up to 30 days in advance from the proposed date of travel.
The embassy said that by default, a double entry e-tourist visa valid for 30 days from the date of the first arrival in India will be granted to the applicant.
The applicant’s passport should also have at least six months validity at the time of the application.
If asked during immigration check in India, applicants must produce either return or onward journey ticket and proof of sufficient fund to spend during the stay.
The said visa can be applied online at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced following the bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his five-day state visit that India will offer free e-tourist visa facility to Filipinos.
Marcos Jr. had also noted at his speech before the Filipino community in India that the Embassy launched the e-Visa which greatly eased the visa process.
Last June, the Philippines also launched the visa-free entry scheme for Indian tourists.
Meanwhile, direct flights via Indian flag carrier Air India will be offered beginning October.
Marcos Jr. said they are “determined” to expand the direct flights to other airlines to link other cities between the two countries.
