Filipino-Chinese steel magnate, driver found dead in Rizal

A Filipino-Chinese business tycoon and his driver were found dead in Sitio Udiongan, Barangay Macabud, Rodriguez, Rizal on Wednesday, April 9 after they were reportedly abducted last March.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla said relatives identified that bodies as Anzon Que, also known as Anson Tan, owner of Elison Steel in Valenzuela, and his driver, after a concern citizen reported to authorities two male bodies were found inside two abandoned nylon sacks with their heads wrapped with duct tape.
Que, and his driver were reported to have been kidnapped in Bulacan on March 29 after their families received a message from the kidnappers demanding millions of dollars in ransom. Their vehicle was later found abandoned in Quezon City on April 8.
PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said investigators are pursuing some leads in the case including the possibility that the perpetrators were involved in previous kidnappings and Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).
Likewise, a special investigation task group has been created to focus on the case headed by PNP’s chief of the directorial staff Police Lieutenant General Edgar Allan Okubo and the probe will be led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) under its chief Police Major General Nicolas Torre III.
Meanwhile, Movement for Restoration of Peace and Order (MRPO) Chairman Teresita Ang See urged the public to refrain from posting the pictures of the dead.
