US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations which targeting individuals involved in various illegal activities led to the arrest of a Filipino national.

All those arrested were undocumented individuals previously convicted of serious crimes, including murder, sexual offenses involving a minor, and attempted murder.

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said the 20-year-old was convicted on two counts of attempted murder and battery with the use of a deadly weapon.

According to court records, the Filipino stabbed his two roommates over a dispute involving an orange juice in February 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Based on an incident report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Filipino stabbed one of his roommates, a 40-year-old man, five times in the head, face, and shoulder.

He also attacked a 70-year-old man who attempted to stop him from assaulting the other victim.

The older victim sustained stab wounds to the ear, eye, and head.

The Filipino was immediately arrested by the police but was later released on bail and placed under high-level electronic monitoring.

After a Nevada court handed down its decision, he was re-arrested by ICE and is now set to undergo deportation proceedings.

Among those arrested by ICE personnel were undocumented convicted criminals from Mexico, Cambodia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

“Every day, the brave men and women of ICE risk their lives to remove murderers, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, and terrorists from our communities. Just yesterday, ICE arrested criminal undocumented individuals across the country, including multiple murderers, pedophiles, and one individual convicted of two counts of attempted murder,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement.

Since the crackdown began, a total of 58 Filipinos have been arrested, including individuals labeled by the US DHS as among the ‘worst of the worst’ undocumented individuals in the US.
