Ex-Mayor Sanchez May Not Be Released After All – BuCor
The Bureau of Corrections clarified today that former Calauan Laguna Mayor and convicted felon Antonio Sanchez may not get his freedom under a new law after all.
According to BuCor Director General Nicanor Faeldon, they still need to review Sanchez’ good conduct time allowance before they can make a decision.
Faeldon said there were instances when illegal drugs and other contrabands were found inside the jail cell of Sanchez.
Sanchez was also involved in a number of instances where the convicted Mayor was seen to have been displaying inruly conduct while inside the New Bilibid Prison, said the BuCor chief.
In fact, Faeldon said Sanchez may not even be qualified to avail of the perks of the new law.
“Preliminary, kasi marami siyang involvement sa some not good behavior eh baka hindi nga siya qualified, thats really the probability. He may not be qualified to go home today or in the next few months,” Faeldon said.
