The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that 90% of station timers at the EDSA busway are now operational.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the timer will ensure efficient flow of buses along rapid transit system.

Dizon said to ensure that bus drivers comply with the 45-second lay-by, Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) enforcers have been stationed at each north and southbound station.

The Transport chief expressed confidence that bus operators and drivers will comply.

The DOTr is also fast-tracking the repairs of remaining station timers to complete the immediate improvements of the entire signaling system, ensuring smoother operations and enhanced safety for commuters, according to Dizon.
