Every 100 years or so, a legend arrives to smack you in the face and demand “Who’s your daddy!!!”

Ok, that’s a bit melodramatic. But hey! We are going to talk about the new Chevy Colorado, a model created specifically because Chevy trucks are now 100 years old, so maybe the intro isn’t so bad after all!!!

The Chevrolet pick-up trucks were first built 100 years ago, making them one of the oldest built pick-ups in the United States, or they are the Granddaddy of Pickup Trucks.
So Yeah!!! He’s your Daddy!!!

This Chevrolet Colorado is badass! It is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Centennial Edition, a truck that celebrates 100 years of Chevrolet Truck heritage.

Chevy did not mince in it’s design. Jut a look at it and you will experience elements that exude the rich Chevrolet truck engineering history. That exclusive heritage bowtie emblems on the front and rear is a prominent statement that says “100 Years” baby.

The front doors are stamped with 100-year Chevrolet badges inspired by colors and design cues found on early trucks. And here is the clincher! Each limited-edition Colorado Centennial model features a vehicle build number displayed as badges on its front doors and unique hood decals.

How’s that for saying “I’m one of a few and you’re a one of a few owner!!!”

But no, this truck is not a “for display only” acquisition. It sits on an 18-inch black alloy wheels that clearly says workhorse. The truck’s robust design makes it the ideal vehicle for heavy-duty work and off-road adventures. And the inclusion of a bedliner, fender flares, and a tubular body sports bar as standard equipment just says it is ready for any job at hand,

And because it really needs to go out and work, this Centennial Edition is powered by a 2.8L Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that features a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) producing 200 horsepower at 3,800 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at a low 2,000 rpm. This Euro 4-compliant engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Colorado retains the same serious off-road capability with its 1-ton hauling capacity, 3.5-ton towing capacity, and best-in-class 800mm water wading capability. Metro Manila flood season is a cinch!!!

For safety, and you can’t be macho if you ain’t safe, the 2018 Colorado Centennial Edition features side impact beams, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), dual front airbags, Panic Brake Assist (PBA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM), and Trailer Sway Control (TSC).

But the Colorado also makes driving easy with convenient features like remote start engine, front and rear park assist, electro chromatic inside rearview mirror, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and tire pressure monitoring system.
