Divisoria school supplies selling within DTI price range – DTI

The Department of Trade and Industry’ (DTI) said vendors in Divisoria a are compliant with school supplies price guide for school year 2025-2026.
According DTI Secretary Cristina Roque said some items are even priced lower than what is indicated in the guide, she said.
“‘So the school supplies are fairly cheap,” Roque told reporters following the DTI’s monitoring of school supplies on Sunday morning, June 1.
But DTI is ready to issue warnings to vendors against pricing products higher than what is on the guide.
Although the guide does not impose price caps, Roque said vendors generally do not sell school supplies for higher.
Trade Assistant Secretary Agaton Uvero added the department could also talk to vendors’ suppliers if the prices are too high.
Roque said consumers should check the price guides to know how much they can expect to pay for school supplies.
Consumers can also expect the prices of basic commodities and prime commodities to remain stable before the new school year starts, according to the trade chief.
“There’s no price increase. Matagal na tayo walang price increase, and there’s still no price increase for basic necessities and prime commodities,” Roque said.
This covers cup noodles, sugar, bread, coffee, sardines, and other staples, DTI officials said.
The DTI issues Suggested Retail Prices for these items.
The price guides and SRPs are posted on the DTI’s website.
If vendors are not compliant, Roque said consumers may report the matter by email to sec@dti.gov.ph or through the 1-384 hotline.
