Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairperson George Erwin Garcia said they finished printing more than 53 million official ballots for Eleksyon 2025.

Based on data, Comelec printed a total of 53,894,129 ballots or 76.58% of the 72 million requirements as of March 3, 2025. A total of 16,338,956 ballots remained to be printed.

Earlier, Garcia said they are targeting to print 1.5 million ballots daily to make up for the shortened timeframe for the production of official ballots.

He also expressed confidence they will be able to complete the printing process by April 14, 2025.

However, the Comelec said the printing increased to 1.7 million ballots per day and the Comelec is eyeing to complete the printing process by March and the ballot verification by April.

“Ang ating pong pag-print ng balota, more or less, March, tapos [na] kami. Mga second week going to the third week of March. The most, March 19, tapos kami sa printing, basta magtuloy-tuloy ang performance ng anim na makina,” Garcia said.

In January, the Comelec deputized the National Printing Office (NPO), allowing the use of the four printing machines of the NPO and the two machines procured by South Korean firm Miru Systems Inc., to ensure the “proper, satisfactory, and timely” completion of the reprinting of the official ballots for the May polls.
