Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation recently launched its new range of its popular Fuso Canter light duty trucks at the World Trade Center that are now Euro 4 compliant. Euro 4 is a European emission standards that mandates much less exhaust emissions than the current Euro 2 emission standards and yet delivers more horsepower. This is a requirement of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources under the Clean Air Act and of the Land Transportation Office for vehicle registration.

The Fuso Canter is one of the most popular choices for business owners due to its durability and cost efficiency. The new line-up offers 4.4, 6.5 and 8.2-ton Gross Vehicle Weight model options, enabling the Canter to suit a wide range of logistics solutions for businesses.

At the Euro 4 launch, Fuso showcased three Euro 4 compliant truck variants: passenger van, aluminum cargo van and dropside truck, two of which were done by Centro Manufacturing Corporation, the leading truck body builder in the country. Centro executives were present during the launch.

Centro is also excited to support Fuso in its bid to participate in the PUV Modernization Program of the DOTr which aims to replace some 200,000 jeepneys with the modern PUV either compliant to Euro 4 emission standards or powered by an electric motor. For this modern PUV, Centro is one of the body builders chosen to supply bodies using the Fuso Canter FE71 as platform.
