The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) projected inflation to the range between of 1.7 percent to 2.5 percent this March.

In a statement, BSP said the upward price pressures in March emanate from higher electricity rates and higher prices for fish and meat.

The BSP, however, said these are expected to be offset by lower prices of rice, fruits, and vegetables, due to favorable domestic supply conditions as well as the peso appreciation.

The Monetary Board will continue to take a measured approach in ensuring price stability conducive to balanced and sustainable growth of the economy and employment.

Inflation settled at 2.1 percent in February this year.

The Philippine Statistics Authority will release the March 2025 inflation data on April 4.
