Bong Go vows to continue Duterte Legacy of providing a comfortable life for all
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has pledged to carry on former president Rodrigo Duterte’s legacy of ensuring a comfortable life for all as he affirmed his support to the new administration’s efforts to improve the lives of the Filipino people.
In an interview on Thursday, June 30, after attending the inauguration of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., Go expressed his gratitude for the Filipinos’ support for Duterte, who was able to retain a high approval and trust rating from the time he was sworn in as president until he stepped down from office.
The senator added that he is proud to have been part of the Duterte Administration which, according to him, has succeeded in keeping most of its promises to the public.
Meanwhile, Go said that he can sense Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s sincerity in wanting to carry on the positive initiatives launched by the previous administration. He then reiterated his support for the incoming administration’s efforts that aim to improve the lives of Filipinos.
Finally, Go promised the new administration that, as long as they continue to promote the welfare of the Filipino people, he would support them in his capacity as a senator.
“Asahan n’yo po na nandirito po ako na susuportahan ang administrasyon in my own small way basta ikakabuti ng bawat Pilipino, ikakabuti ng sambayanang Pilipino, at ikakabuti ng buong Pilipinas,” Go ended.
