Senator Christopher “Bong” Go once again called on the public to vote wisely for the next leaders in the upcoming national and local elections. He advised Filipinos to consider the continuity of programs and reforms initiated by the Duterte Administration that benefit those who need government attention the most.

In an interview after personally visiting fire victims in Manila City on Wednesday, March 9, the senator stressed that continuity shall play a significant role in achieving President Rodrigo Duterte’s vision of providing a comfortable life for all.

He urged the public to carefully assess all candidates and vote wisely. Go said that the successor of President Duterte should be able to enforce, strengthen, and execute necessary efforts to help the nation build back better from the challenges caused by the pandemic and other crises.

Meanwhile, Go remarked that he is unaware of who among the presidentiables President Duterte will endorse, if any.

The senator then reiterated that he will support the candidate who can sustain the gains achieved under the Duterte Administration and boost the country’s economic recovery.

Meanwhile, asked about his stand on the sanctions that the Commission on Elections will impose on presidential and vice presidential candidates who will skip the debates organized by the poll body, Go replied, “Di naman ako kandidato so di na ako apektado sa ipapataw ng COMELEC.

Nevertheless, Go acknowledged that candidates are free to choose their respective campaign strategies to make Filipinos aware of their intent and plans for the country’s development.
