Additional 15,000 doses of Sputnik V arrive in Phl

At least 15,000 doses of Gamaleya’s Sputnik V vaccine arrived via Qatar Airways at NAIA Terminal 3, Wednesday night.

According to the office of Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., the additional Russian vaccine will be used as second dose for those who received the first dose in five pilot areas in Metro Manila.

The initial 15,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived on 1 May 2021.

It said that the component of the second dose is different from the first dose.

The five pilot areas for the Sputnik V vaccination include Makati, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Manila and Parañaque.
