A bus company senior consultant suggested to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) the possibilities of prohibiting passengers from public utility vehicles in making loud noises while inside the vehicle.

The suggestion came after a person with disability distressed by loud sounds allegedly tried to bite a child as they were traveling along EDSA-Guadalupe last week. A bus conductor who intervened was instead bitten instead by the PWD.

He said it was time for the DOTr to issue an order that would maintain silence inside public utility vehicles.

The PWD in Friday’s incident was the same man who previously went viral in June after he allegedly bit fellow passengers, who then mauled him on the EDSA busway.

The Metrolink Bus Company on Sunday met with transport authorities and asked for training on how to better handle similar incidents.

In the meantime, the firm appealed to the public to accompany relatives with disabilities who might need assistance during their commute.
