How Does The Toyota Rush Look?

We took the liberty of sourcing some photos from their Indonesian and Indian launch so we can give you a general idea. The Rush is an apparent attempt by Toyota at neutralizing the seeming rise in popularity of Mitsubishi’s newest model, the Xpander. Sized and designed the same, both the Rush and the Xpander were launched in Indonesia last November of 2017.

The Indonesian and Indian version of the Rush is a 7-seater compact SUV powered by a 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder engine 2NR-VE Dual VVT-i mated to either a 4-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual version. It throws out 103 horsepower at 6,000rpm and pulls at a peak torque of 136Nm at 4,600 rpm.

The 2nd generation Toyota Rush has grown by 230mm and has a general size of 4435mm in length, 1695mm in width and 1705mm in height with a longer 2685mm wheelbase. It sits about 220mm high from the ground giving it better ground clearance.

Now, we are not sure if the other aspects of the Rush introduced in India and Indonesia last year will be the same as the one arriving here, but the basic spec enumerated above would probably be accurate.

Toyota says you can now place your orders for the Rush even before it is revealed locally, similar to the tack Mitsubishi took in introducing the Xpander. This is turning into an exciting development.

So, here are some photos of the Toyota Rush from Autocar India.
