Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo applauded the efforts of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Procter and Gamble in overcoming gender role stereotyping and championing gender inclusiveness in their community.

Agudo was the guest of honor at the inauguration of the Ariel #AhonPinay Electrical and Installation Maintenance training room at the TESDA Complex in Taguig City, and Keynote Speaker at the graduation of the first batch of TESDA graduates under the Ariel #AhonPinay program.

Known as a staunch advocate and thought leader for women empowerment through education and skills training, and the very first woman CEO of a local automotive firm, Ms. Agudo congratulated the Procter & Gamble team behind the Ariel #AhonPinay campaign and TESDA for championing gender inclusiveness in the work place, echoing and supporting TESDA’s vision to overcome gender role stereotyping, and Ariel #Ahon Pinay’s advocacy to eliminate gender boundaries in professional capabilities.

Addressing the graduates, she said, “You are a powerful statement that women are perfectly capable of finding fulfillment and of building a better life for themselves and for the people they love in jobs that many still consider as ‘for men only.’” She also expressed her desire to see a boost in numbers of skilled women professionals in the tech-voc sector.

The presence of Ms. Agudo in this activity signifies Hyundai Philippines’ support for the national roadmap for innovation, a significant component of which is the enhancement of skills and the addressing of inequality and gaps in education of the local workforce.
