Uber may have another bigger problem on their hands after the National Privacy Commission began a probe in the reported data leak the TNC encountered.

Uber in the US this week admitted that a data breach occurred last 2016 but they have corrected it by paying the hackers $100,000 to return the data stolen.

Privacy Commission Chair Raymond Liboro told this reporter today that they have ordered Uber in the Philippines to give them a report on the incident.

Liboro wants to know how many of the local Uber subscribers have been affected if any and why Uber has not given a report despite a law mandating them to declare data breaches.

The LTFRB has earlier ordered Uber to report to their office to clarify this matter.
