Controversial traffic violation actress Maria Isabel Lopez reported to the Land Transportation Office today in accordance with the summon the government has issued against her for violating the ASEAN Lane.

There was no clear information what form of sanction Ms. Lopez will be meted out, but LTO Director Edgar Galvante said the lawyers of Ms. Lopez have submitted their position paper on the matter.

Galvante said LTO now has five (5) days to resolve the case of Lopez. There is no action from the LTO until that period lapses. Galvante says they are following due process in the case of Lopez.

But, typically, any traffic violation has the immediate effect of license confiscation by a traffic enforcer, the issuance of a ticket, attendance of a seminar at any LTO office and the payment of a hefty fine.

So, do you think Maria Isabel Lopez deserves a lighter or harsher penalty?
