Dizon wants ex-DPWH Sec. Bonoan be placed on immigration lookout bulletin

Secretary Vince Dizon asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to place in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) his predecessor, former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan and four others.

In a letter, Dizon request to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, to issue an ILBO against Bonoan, Mayor Rene Magalogue of Candaba, and Macy Monique Maglangue, President of MBB Global Properties Corporation, corporate secretary Sunshine Bernardo, and secretary Fatima Gay Dela Cruz. Following an investigation on alleged involvement of ther personalities in ghost projects and/or substandard construction of flood control project.

“The timely issuance of an ILBO is of utmost necessity to enable the current investigations to proceed without delay and to hold those liable accountable to the Filipino people,” Dizon added.

Earlier, the DOJ issued lookout orders against several individuals tagged in alleged ghost flood control projects, including the Discaya couple and Wawao Builders general manager Mark Allan Arevalo, among others.

DOJ Spokesperson Asec. Mico Clavano confirmed that they received a letter from Dizon requesting the issuance of an ILBO against former DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo.

Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson linked Bonoan to a contractor in Bulacan.

Citing documents from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Lacson said Bonoan’s daughter and the daughters of contractor Rene Maglanque and former DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo are in business in the MBB Global Properties.
