Marcos arrives in India for state visit

President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. arrived in New Delhi, India on Monday for a state visit.

The President said his trip to India would cap the year-long commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations.

“Our bilateral relations have seen a measured and stable development that are both comprehensive in scope and multifaceted in nature,” Marcos said.

The President further said he wants his visit to result in cheaper medicines for Filipinos, among others

The President and his delegation landed at 2:20 p.m. (India Time) at VVIP Bay, Palam Air Force Station.

Marcos will meet with the Filipino community in New Delhi this evening.

Marcos’ state visit to India is upon the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he will meet on Tuesday, August 5.
