PNP to secure Filipino-Chinese community after Anson Que’s abduction and killing The Philippine National Police (PNP) will set up measures to secure the Filipino-Chinese community following the abduction and death of businessman Anson Que. The PNP and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) discuss concerns after deaths and reported kidnappings of Chinese nationals. “We understand the urgency and gravity of these cases. The Philippine National Police is fully committed to resolving them swiftly and restoring confidence in public safety,” PNP said in a statement. The PNP and FFCCCII have agreed to establish a collaborative program focused on proactive measures to detect potential threats. This includes enhancing coordination with local police units, strengthening surveillance efforts in key business hubs, and providing safety briefings to member companies and communities. The PNP also allayed concerns over “perceived lawlessness” and its effect on the image of the Philippines among foreign investors and visitors. Earlier, the bodies of Que and his driver were found on a roadside in Rodriguez, Rizal on Wednesday. “The two bodies were placed in a nylon bag, tied with nylon rope, and their faces were wrapped with duct tape,” PRO 4A public information office chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran said.
