Pasig Mayor chides city traffic enforcers for expired licenses

In an unprecedented move, Mayor Vico Sotto of Pasig orders the review of all traffic enforcers of Pasig City to verify if they have proper drivers licenses and whether their vehicles (motorcycles and cars) are properly registered.

In a surprise inspection, Sotto called in all of his traffic cops and required all of them to present their drivers licenses and motor vehicle registrations, those that they use on their daily functions.

More than half of his enforcers turned out to have expired drivers licenses and a third had expired motorcycle registrations.

Sotto immediately ordered the issuance of traffic violations against these erring Pasig City enforcers and suspended them until they could get their documents in order.
