About 934 passengers were unloaded at the Guadalupe Station of the MRT3 at 9:35pm last night, December 2 2017, because of an unusual “alarming sound” passengers reported were coming from the aircon unit of one of the train cabs.

MRT3 officials at Guadalupe Station immediately conducted an investigation as it may be a another serious matter involving the safety of the trains and its passengers.

The investigation proved it to be really an issue of safety, but of a more personal one. The “alarming sound” was coming from from an electronic anti-rape whistle device that was activated accidentally.

“Upon inspection, it was confirmed that the sound was coming from an anti-rape whistle device which accidentally activated a loud siren inside the bag of a female passenger.” – said an incident report filed by MRT3 Security Officers.

Passengers were then allowed to return to the trains and unloading procedures were cancelled.

The thing is, MRT3  remedial measures on the report says “Necessary crowd control and security measures were enforced in the station.” which may be translated to “No more anti-rape whistle device allowed on MRT3.”

The MRT3 condition is so bad, officials deem it important to unload passengers because of a whistle sound. This is just so sad!
